nomics

I mentioned Nomic in my post about 1kbwc, it’s an evolving, democratic game in which the rules are decided by vote over time. I’ve never played it, but would like to some time.

The rules for a specific instance of Nomic called B Nomic are here. I haven’t read through them entirely yet, but there is some cool stuff in there, like rule 4E61 regarding DNA and twins (You have two genes, you can mutate one per nweek and you can’t “directly” harm anyone with the same DNA as you(your twin)).

I also read some of the rules for Nomopoly IV which turned into some kind of turn based strategy game with SCVs, Monks, Warriors and Laser Howitzers.

I find these things pretty fascinating. Should really play one some time.
